We’ve just released a new firmware update, and we’re pretty excited about it! This one includes some key improvements, better performance, increased stability, and a few behind-the-scenes tweaks that make everything run smoother. We wanted to share a quick overview of what’s included:
General Updates:
- Updated the UEFI revocation database (dbx).
- Added support for low power mode for the wireless card.
- Enable waking up from suspend by pressing any key on the keyboard.
- Add an option to disable the fan.
- Add an option to completely ignore the lid switch.
- Improved boot times based on current settings.
- Updated device names in the Boot Manager to be more human-readable.
- Reduced overall power consumption.

Bug Fixes/Enhancements:
- [StarBook MkV] Fixed issue that prevented waking up from suspend.

- [StarBook MkVII (Ultra)] Added an option to enable the NPU.
- [StarBook MkVII (Ultra)] Fixed power deficit that causes a shutdown.

[StarLite Mk V] Fixed charger detection.
- [LabTop Mk IV] Fixed delay when pressing brightness control keys.
- Added persistence of settings like charging speed/limit when powered off.
- Fixed StarLite batteries showing 0% being idle for a long time.
- Fixed Bluetooth cycling on/off in Windows Device Manager.
- Fixed Manjaro GNOME display flickering.
- Improved detection for third-party SSDs.
- Use interrupts for the TPM instead of polling.
- Fixed an issue where Linux would hang trying to initialise the TPM.
- Improved USB error handling in the BIOS.
- Added configuration option to switch between Modern Standby and S3 sleep modes.
